The click that never stores an IP
Short links and QR codes on your own Cloudflare account, or on rdyrct, at $0, $4, or $9, with the readme and the pricing page disagreeing on who gets a QR.

The startup idea
Andrea Bruno posted rdyrct 1.0.0 on October 10. A link shortener and QR generator that runs entirely on your own Cloudflare account. Custom domains, teams, click analytics, no IP stored. MIT, with a GitHub repository. The site at rdyrct.com is also a hosted product. Free is $0 forever, no credit card: 30 links, 3 members, 7 days of analytics, a QR code for every link, plus an API and an MCP. A link made with no account lasts 24 hours. Hobby is $4 a month: 500 links, 5 members, one custom domain, 30 days of analytics, and a QR with your logo and colors. Pro is $9 a month: 3,000 links, 3 organizations, 25 members, 5 custom domains, a year of analytics, and email support. Only the organization's owner pays. Stopping payment does not delete links. On day 30, links on a custom domain pause until you upgrade. Links on rdyr.cc and rdyrct.com keep working. The readme says QR codes are for paid plans, and that custom domains are Pro. The pricing page gives the free plan a QR without a logo, and gives Hobby one custom domain. The one-click Cloudflare deploy is not a complete install: you still set the URL, the secrets, the migrations, and the domain. This page did not shorten a link.
The opportunity is the click without the IP, on a domain the team already owns. A smaller product is one link, one country, and no address stored. The post describes the thing you deploy. The pricing page describes the thing they host. Both exist.
Do not say every QR needs a paid plan. The pricing page does not. Do not say a custom domain starts at Pro. Hobby lists one.
The problem
The short link works. The founder still cannot say which channel earned the click without handing over the IP.
Who would pay for this?
- Primary
- A small team that wants to know which channel earned the click without storing an IP.
- Secondary
- A developer who would rather deploy the Worker than pay $4.
- Early adopter
- One link, one QR, seven days of clicks.
How could it make money?
Possible models. Nothing here is a claim about what rdyrct charges.
- Free: $0, 30 links, 3 members, 7 days.
- Hobby: $4 a month. Pro: $9 a month. Only the owner pays.
- MIT if you run it on your own Cloudflare account.
What would the MVP look like?
- One short link.
- Country, referrer, and device, with no IP.
- A QR on the free plan, next to the readme's paid-QR line.
- The $4 plan's one custom domain, next to the readme's Pro line.
How to validate the idea
- Ask five teams to put one real link on the free plan for a week.
- If they only want the QR, the analytics were not the product.
- Do not add a second domain until one custom domain is actually attached.
How to differentiate
- No IP in the database.
- The owner pays. The rest of the team does not.
- You can deploy the same product yourself, MIT.
- Do not become Bitly with a new coat.
Why this could be interesting now
The post, the readme, and the pricing page agree that clicks are stored without an IP. They do not agree on which plan gets a QR or a custom domain. The opening is one link a founder can check.
Original product launch
This launch is inspiration and evidence that someone shipped, not a partnership. The idea above is our reading of the broader opportunity. rdyrct did not write it.

Only the owner pays. The readme says QR codes are a paid feature, and that custom domains are Pro. The pricing page gives the free plan a plain QR, and Hobby one custom domain. The one-click deploy is not a complete install.
