The listing change that stays a plan
A Mac app that reads every App Store listing for free, and writes only after a $79 license.

Difficulty is an editorial estimate of technical and operational complexity, not a score.

The startup idea
Giacomo posted on October 30 that he was tired of the App Store Connect website, so he built a Mac app for the busywork. Every app in the account sits in one window. It translates listings into every App Store language, prices for purchasing power in 175 territories, replies to reviews, preflights, and submits. A reply the same minute says it is free to look around and $79 once to apply changes. The site is appstorelocalization.com. The free download reads and plans everything. A license applies the plans. The requirement is macOS 26 or later. Translation of missing languages is from en-US by your own AI. Smart update fills the next version and keeps text that is already written. Prices are planned from World Bank purchasing-power data and the day's exchange rates, then snapped to Apple's price ladder. The default floor is 25% of Apple's price. A territory whose price level is 0.60 or higher, the US being 1.0, keeps Apple's price. Nothing is written until the old and new values sit side by side. The API key stays in the login Keychain, and calls go from the Mac to Apple. The preflight picture on the site is an illustration of a made-up weather app, not a screenshot. The post names 175 territories. It does not say macOS 26, or that the translation is a model you bring. This page did not apply a price.
The opportunity is the plan, not another trip through the website. A smaller product is one app, old and new in one list, and a license before the write. A translator that ships its own model, on an older Mac, is a different product.
Do not write before the plan. Do not say the app includes the model.
The problem
Pricing 175 territories by hand is the week, and Apple's conversion is not purchasing power.
Who would pay for this?
- Primary
- An indie with several apps who already lives in App Store Connect.
- Secondary
- Someone on macOS 26 who will keep the API key in the Keychain.
- Early adopter
- One listing, one price plan, no write on the free download.
How could it make money?
Possible models. Nothing here is a claim about what App Store Localization charges.
- The download is free and only reads.
- A license is $79 once, and that is what applies the plan.
- The post's reply names the price. The main post does not.
What would the MVP look like?
- A sidebar of the account's apps.
- A plan with old and new.
- Purchasing-power prices with the 25% floor.
- The write locked until the license.
How to validate the idea
- Ask five people whether the free download changed a live price.
- If it did, the split failed.
- Do not treat the weather-app picture as a customer's preflight.
How to differentiate
- It plans, then writes.
- The key never leaves the Mac.
- Rich territories stay on Apple's price.
- Do not become App Store Connect.
Original product launch
This launch is inspiration and evidence that someone shipped, not a partnership. The idea above is our reading of the broader opportunity. App Store Localization did not write it.

Product that inspired this idea
Giacomo's post says he built a Mac app so he could stop living in App Store Connect. One window for every app: translate listings into every App Store language, price 175 territories for purchasing power, reply to reviews, preflight, and submit. A reply the same minute says it is free to look around and $79 once to apply changes, and that the API key stays in the Keychain. Calls go from the Mac to Apple. The site says the same split. The free download reads and plans. A license applies the plans. macOS 26 or later. Translation is from en-US by your own AI. Prices come from World Bank purchasing-power data, snap to Apple's ladder, and never go below 25% of Apple's price by default. A territory at 0.60 or richer keeps Apple's price. The preflight picture on the site is an illustration of a made-up weather app, not a screenshot. The post does not say macOS 26, or that the translation is your model. This page did not submit a version.
