Difficulty is an editorial estimate of technical and operational complexity, not a score.

The startup idea
Pranjal posted BobHead on October 30. It is an open-source ComfyUI app that turns regular footage into a big-head video and keeps the original motion and dialogue. The repository is jalrobustvfx/BobHead, built for the ComfyUI open-source competition. The app's license file is MIT, copyright 2026 BobHead contributors. Model weights are downloaded from their publishers and are not in the app download. Requirements are Windows 10 or 11, an NVIDIA CUDA GPU, internet for setup, and space for the runtime, the models, and the outputs. The demonstrated setup is an RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell with 96 GiB of VRAM. The readme says the minimum VRAM has not been established, because it is a large LTX/Wan workflow, and a separate-machine installation has not been validated. You upload a talking-person clip, pick a short duration, and run it. The preview GIF on the readme loops with no sound. The dialogue is in the MP4. The post says open source and that the motion and the line survive. It does not say the weights are a second download, or that the only measured machine has 96 GiB. This page did not render a head.
The opportunity is the joke shot that still says the original sentence. A smaller product is one short clip, the weight download named, and the 96 GiB box labeled as a demo rather than a minimum. A Mac app with the weights inside the download is not this repo.
Do not ship the weights as if they were MIT. Do not invent a minimum VRAM.
The problem
The joke shot still has to keep the original motion and the original line.
Who would pay for this?
- Primary
- A Windows editor who already has an NVIDIA GPU and a short talking clip.
- Secondary
- Someone who will download the publisher's weights and keep their license.
- Early adopter
- One clip, the weight step visible, the demo machine named.
How could it make money?
Possible models. Nothing here is a claim about what BobHead charges.
- The app is MIT.
- The weights have their publishers' licenses.
- The post says open source.
What would the MVP look like?
- One talking clip in.
- A big-head MP4 with the original line.
- Weights as a separate download.
- The unmeasured minimum, written down.
How to validate the idea
- Ask five people what GPU the readme actually measured.
- If they name a laptop, they did not read the 96 GiB line.
- Do not claim a second machine until one has been validated.
How to differentiate
- The motion and the line stay.
- The app is MIT and the weights are not in the zip.
- The minimum VRAM is unknown.
- Do not become the model.
Original product launch
This launch is inspiration and evidence that someone shipped, not a partnership. The idea above is our reading of the broader opportunity. BobHead did not write it.
