The yes on the phone
An unofficial MIT app, alpha 0.1, that lets a tap on your phone approve a command Hermes Agent was about to run.

The startup idea
Robby posted on October 15. An app for Hermes Agent, because reading walls of text on a phone got old. Tick a checklist, pick an option, compare two products, approve a command. The tap goes back to Hermes. Open source. It runs on your own server. hermesui.xyz. The page calls it Hermes Interactive UI+, unofficial, alpha 0.1, MIT. It is for people who already run Hermes Agent v0.21 or newer and talk to it through Telegram or a terminal. You run a small bridge next to it. The app talks to your bridge, never to a service of theirs. No accounts and no telemetry. Platforms named: Android, web, macOS, Linux. An approval shows the exact command, a risk, and a deadline, then allow once or deny. Android in 0.1 keeps running in the background and has no remote push, so there is no notification while the app is closed. The web app can send a push. The post does not say unofficial, alpha, or MIT. This page did not install the bridge.
The opportunity is the yes or no, on a phone, for a command the agent already wrote. A smaller product is one approval with the command visible. The post says open source on your server. The page adds that it is unofficial and still 0.1, and that Android will not tap you while the app is closed.
Do not say it is the official Hermes app. The page says unofficial. Do not say a closed Android phone will notify you.
The problem
The agent is working. The approval is a wall of text on a machine you are not at.
Who would pay for this?
- Primary
- Someone who already runs Hermes Agent and is not at the keyboard when it asks.
- Secondary
- A person who will host the bridge and will not make an account for a chat UI.
- Early adopter
- One command, one allow, one deny.
How could it make money?
Possible models. Nothing here is a claim about what Hermes UI charges.
- No price.
- MIT.
- The server is yours. The page says no accounts and no telemetry.
What would the MVP look like?
- A bridge next to Hermes Agent v0.21 or newer.
- The command, the risk, and a deadline on the phone.
- Allow once or deny.
- The alpha 0.1 line, and the Android push gap.
How to validate the idea
- Ask five Hermes users to deny one real command from a phone.
- If they only notice after the command already ran, the approval was late.
- Do not add an account. The page says there isn't one.
How to differentiate
- The tap is the next message, not a separate dashboard.
- The bridge is yours.
- It says unofficial.
- Do not become a hosted chat in front of someone else's agent.
Why this could be interesting now
The post and the page agree that a tap goes back to Hermes and that you run the server. Only the page says unofficial, alpha 0.1, and MIT. The opening is one command a person can still refuse.
Original product launch
This launch is inspiration and evidence that someone shipped, not a partnership. The idea above is our reading of the broader opportunity. Hermes UI did not write it.

Product that inspired this idea
Robby's post says he built an app for Hermes Agent so a checklist, a choice, a comparison, or a command approval is a tap, and the tap goes back to Hermes. Open source. It runs on your own server. The page calls it Hermes Interactive UI+, unofficial, alpha 0.1, MIT. It needs Hermes Agent v0.21 or newer. You run a bridge next to it. The app talks to that bridge, not to a service of theirs. No accounts and no telemetry. Android, web, macOS, and Linux. Android in 0.1 has no notification while the app is closed. The web app can push. The post does not say unofficial or alpha. This page did not pair a bridge.
