pedit, layers that are not a PSD

Name: pedit, layers that are not a PSD

metiu's post says an open-source tool turns words into real Photoshop layers. 62 MCP tools. Free forever. The repository is metiutek/editorimage-ai and the product is pedit. The readme says a free layered editor, a Photoshop or GIMP alternative, MIT, and the badge says 62 MCP tools. It also says no CMYK, no 16-bit, and no PSD yet. Generative fill can run on a local ComfyUI, or with your own key for OpenAI, Gemini, Stability, Replicate, or OpenRouter. The post does not say the file is not a PSD, and it does not say the model is your bill. This page did not install it.
