Jerry's post says good recorders want a subscription, and free ones leave a shaky cursor and no zoom. He built Capturra in Rust and Tauri: auto-zoom, a smooth cursor, free and open source. The readme says MIT, and macOS 13 or later. It records the screen with the cursor off, logs mouse and keyboard timing, then redraws a smoothed cursor and zooms in the editor. Export is MP4 or GIF. macOS asks for Screen Recording, Accessibility, and Input Monitoring. The status line says it is early. Some features are checked by unit tests and short runs. The post does not say the cursor in the video is a redraw, or name the three permissions. This page did not record a screen.
